25 Facts About Me You Might Not Know!

 Saw this on someone else blog and thought it was a great way to introduce myself to those whom may not follow me on Facebook, and if you don’t follow me why aren’t you? lol This is a very personal way to introduce myself and tear away the layers of ME!

The Not So Interesting Facts:

  • I’m 43 years old
  • I am engaged to the love of my life
  • I live near St. Louis, MO
  • I grew up in Springfield, IL area
  • I work for a furniture store called Weekends Only as a Customer Service Rep.

The Far More Interesting Facts:

  • I have been overweight since around 21 years of age
  • I used to weigh 329lbs
  • I had gastric bypass in August 4, 2013
  • I lost 169lbs
  • I did not get skinny or cure my fatness with weight loss surgery

The Facts That Made Me Who I am Today:

  • I was married before for 25 years
  • My ex husband suffered from alcoholism
  • Ours was an abusive marriage both verbal and physical
  • I have 3 daughters, 1 of whom I gave up for adoption almost 21 years ago this May
  • I got married at the age of 18 and divorced in at 42 years old
  • I have battled severe depression
  • I lost my Mother a few years ago
  • I was verbally, and physically abused, by my mother growing up ( she was sick mentally and I forgave here before her death)
  • I was a hermit for almost 20 years I would seclude myself in my home because I felt fat and unattractive and would only go out for grocery shopping or something school related for my girls.
  • I abused myself as much as my ex husband did by drowning my depression in soda and food and cigarettes to deal

Who I am Today:

  • I have no regrets, my past made me who I am today, a strong and independent woman
  • I do not live in fear of failure, success, judgment or harm
  • I recognize my strengths and my weaknesses
  • I forgive myself for my faults
  • I love myself for who I am, ALL OF ME
  • I have learned to love myself and by doing so I was able to find true love with my fiance Larry. I could not of done this before, as YOU have to love yourself before you can truly love someone else and have a healthy relationship.

Who I want to be Tomorrow:

  • A published author
  • A public speaker on losing weight and motivation to do it.
  • A motivation for my daughters and grandkids
  • A Good Mother to my daughters and my soon to be daughters
  • A good friend, and daughter and motivation for those whom are struggling!
