20 High Protein Snack Ideas

One of the things I still struggle with to this day is making sure I get my protein in. This is crucial after surgery so I thought I would share some of my personal go to’s for snacking or even with my meals that provide a healthy option for getting your daily intake of protein in.

  1. Quick protein shakes made from Greek yogurt, milk and fresh fruit
  2. Apple slices and two tablespoons of peanut butter
  3. baby carrots and two tablespoons of peanut butter
  4. pita crackers and hummus
  5. baby carrots and hummus
  6. cottage cheese with pineapple slice or your favorite fruit
  7. Take a slice of lean turkey deli meat and roll a slice of cheese inside and roll it up
  8. Take a lettuce leaf and put a slice of deli meat on it and roll it up
  9. Banana and two tablespoons of peanut butter
  10. Grilled chicken breast chunks with steamed veggies
  11. no sugar added rice pudding
  12. turkey jerky is low in sodium and high in protein and very portable
  13. Greek yogurt with fresh fruit
  14. Almonds or trail mix
  15. cheese slices with low fat grain crackers
  16. tuna with low fat mayo on cucumbers or crackers
  17. swiss cheese slice and some grapes
  18. handful of pistachios
  19. string cheese sticks
  20.  canned chicken with mayo and relish on a lettuce leaf
